On Friday August 16 the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (MVTM) officially opened its new multi-purpose room. Measuring 24 ft. by 23 ft., and with a 10 ft. high ceiling, the room features a large three-basin sink and can accommodate up to ten folding tables (provided). A wall of windows also provides lots of natural light, making it an ideal space for art and craft workshops and classes.
The new room is also one of the only spaces in the area that is fully equipped with a high-definition projector and drop-down screen for presentations, video and wifi access, as well as a podium. It can seat up to 50 people, which makes it a great spot for meetings, lectures or conferences. Those attending meetings and workshops will also enjoy the museum’s permanent exhibit and the exciting installations in its gallery.
The multi-purpose room can be rented for $25 per hour or $150 per day. For more information contact the MVTM at 613 256-3754 x7.
